In this cluster, we can adopt same methods with EDU-1, Environmental Education.
When we teach the importance of local plants and animals at school, the interest level of the parents and family members will also increase. When the children begin to express a particular interest in plants and animals, protecting the endangered species of the island will become much easier.

We would like to develop a new approach and technical method of teaching that will allow children to take more interest about their local plants and animals. |

First, it is important to let children recognize how beautiful their island is. We should teach children about the advantages of their island so that they can come to love their island.
As a next step, they could see the environmental problems of their island and get involved in supporting the ideas of preserving and protecting their island. (Uchan 9/20/2009) |

It might be a good idea to exchange information about the environment with schools in the mainland. This would allow the children to realize how lucky they are to live on such a beautiful island filled with rich and powerful nature. |
